The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) recently announced the launch of a new online resource, the Interior Design Product Finder. The new product, available on www.asid.org, features a search engine with a broad array of industry specific product and service listings that will aid ASID members in their purchasing decisions. “We are delighted to offer this extremely effective online search tool as a resource for our members,” said Michael Alin, Hon. FASID, executive director of ASID. “The Interior Design Product Finder will facilitate searches of products and services by providing designers with an inventory of supplier companies tailored by business segment.” Developed by MultiView, Inc., an Irving, Texas-based publisher of network search engines, the Interior Design Product Finder provides two search methods: a keyword-driven search or a predefined category search by business type. The powerful search engine continually indexes the Web sites of all companies represented in the list, and searchers can easily locate products and services unique to interior design without the clutter of a general Internet search. “By using the Interior Design Product Finder, individuals will be able to search for manufacturers, distributors and service providers by company name, product name and location. This new search engine will help resolve problems and match providers with consumers,” said Dan Maitland, MultiView president. About MultiView, Inc.: MultiView, Inc. is a privately held corporation based in Irving, Texas. MultiView publishes a growing series of industry-specific, network search engines. MultiView search engines are state-of-the-art, satisfying the need for keyword searching through the use of powerful search engine technology, as well as presenting suppliers in a traditional category/heading format. About ASID: ASID is a community of people—designers, industry representatives, educators and students—committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing, advocacy, community building and outreach, the Society strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively change people’s lives.
