World Market Center has put three new team members in place as it readies for its Summer 2007 Las Vegas Market, which will be the largest in its history. Sean Doane joins World Market Center as operations manager, Esmeralda Dominguez has been named collections manager and Christine Gargano is in the newly created position of special events coordinator. Harvey Dondero, CEO of World Market Center, said the hiring of these new team members speaks to the growth of the company. “All three of these individuals will play an integral role in helping sustain our company’s continued expansion,” Dondero said. “We look forward to having them contribute their skills and talents to the World Market Center family.” As operations manager, Doane will manage, plan and institute policy and procedure surrounding World Market Center tradeshow and event operations and will report to Michelle Monteferrante, director of tradeshow operations. Doane has more than nine years of experience in the convention industry. Before joining World Market Center, he worked for Freeman Companies in Las Vegas and Czarnowski Exhibit Service in Atlanta. Prior to being brought on as World Market Center collections manager, Dominguez was employed as a credit and collections specialist with Caltrol, Inc. and a collections specialist with Safari International, both in Las Vegas. She has several years of experience in working with companies and customers to create credit-related resolutions and will report to the director of accounting, Kathy Venezia. Gargano has 11 years experience in management, operations, merchandising and production environments. Former employers include the Clark County School District, Rage Clothing Store, Escada Company Store and D19 Productions/Wiggles Live, all in the Las Vegas area. She will work under the direction of special events manager Laurie Dorough and assist in the coordination of the many special events World Market Center hosts on its campus. The Summer Las Vegas Market will take place July 30-August 3, 2007 at World Market Center’s Buildings A and B, the Pavilions; the temporaries will be featured at Sands Expo & Convention Center opening on Tuesday, July 31.
