Randy Lavercombe Joins Broyhill As VP Sales

Randy Lavercombe has been appointed vice president of sales for Broyhill Furniture Industries, Inc., where he will report to the executive vice president of sales and merchandising. Lavercombe, who has spent more than 30 years in the furniture industry, joins Broyhill from Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., where he spent the last two years managing accounts and providing sales and marketing counsel to furniture retailers throughout the company’s Northeast Texas territory. Prior to joining Ashley, Lavercombe spent 18 years with La- Z-Boy, Inc., where he managed territories in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C., and Dallas/Ft. Worth areas. Lavercombe also has held a variety of sales positions with Schnadig Corp., Rowe Furniture, Inc., and Stratford Co. In his new position, Lavercombe will be responsible for leading Broyhill’s sales force of more than 95 sales representatives in six regions across the U.S. and Canada. New sales initiatives will include placing a greater focus on generating feedback from retailers and consumers, building relationships, offering greater service and doubling Broyhill’s sales in five years. “Randy has had one of the most prolific sales careers in our industry,” says Jeff Cook, Broyhill’s president. ”His character is beyond reproach and he knows how to build both relationships and businesses. Randy is exactly the kind of dynamic leader we need to achieve our aggressive growth strategy.” Married with two children, ages 16 and 18, Lavercombe and his family will relocate to North Carolina when he assumes his new position.
