New Officers Elected To ISPA Board - Trustees Also Selected

Five officers and ten trustees nominated by members of the International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) were officially elected to the ISPA Board of Trustees at its June 27 meeting in Park City, UT. The elected officers of the ISPA Board of Trustees are Richard Diamonstein of King-Koil Mid-Atlantic, chairman; Tom LeDuc of Spring Air Mattress Co., vice chairman; ISPA President Richard Doyle, president; Patrick Flippin of Kingsdown, Inc., vice president; and ISPA Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Robert Bobowski, treasurer. The officers will serve a two-year term with the exception of Diamonstein and LeDuc, who will serve one-year terms. The newly elected Trustees, whose names were submitted by the 2003 ISPA Nominating Committee and approved by a majority of the members, will serve one to two-year terms. Trustees selected to serve two-year terms include: David Clark of Englander Bedding; David Fogg of Tempur-Pedic, Inc.; Paul Hauser of Leggett & Platt, Inc.; Robert Hellyer of Simmons Company, Inc.; Ed Lilly of Serta, Inc.; Michael Malkiewicz of Wickline Bedding Co., Inc.; David Orders of Park Place Corporation; Drew Robins of Restonic; and Kerry Tramel of Lady Americana Associates. Dean Woods of C.J. Hodder Lumber Company will serve a one-year term. “This is a strong group of leaders with vast knowledge about the industry, its intricacies and what needs to be addressed in pursuit of our priorities,” said ISPA President Dick Doyle. “I am confident that our newly elected trustees will be ideal representatives and decision-makers for the association and its strategic objectives.” The ISPA Board of Trustees represents the association, its members and its principles. It regulates the association’s business conduct, disbursement of funds, committees and all aspects of ISPA membership including meetings, dues, rights and privileges. Board members who continue their roles as trustees include John Bauman of Continental Ticking; Frank Gorrell of Jamison Bedding Company; Marvin Hamilton of Fibex; Ron Jones of Sealy, Inc.; Robert Naboicheck of Standard Mattress Company; Norman Rosenblatt of Therapedic-New England, Bob Steelman of Carpenter Company; Sandy Van Dyke of Hickory Springs Mfg. Company; Ron Weaver of Tietex International, Ltd.; and Dave Young of VyMac Corporation. Established in 1915, International Sleep Products Association is the trade organization for mattress manufacturers and their suppliers around the world. ISPA hosts the biennial ISPA EXPO trade shows and publishes BEDtimes and Sleep Savvy magazines.
