BIFMA Announces New Officers and Directors Elected to Board

The Board of Directors of the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer's Association (BIFMA) International is pleased to announce the election of new officers and directors for the 2003-2004 fiscal year. President Bill Rubino, JOFCO International, was re-elected to a second one-year term as President. P. Dan Miller, Kimball Office Group, was elected to a one-year term as Vice President/President-elect. Director Scott Schwinghammer, Versteel, was elected to serve as BIFMA Treasurer. Paul Simons, The Mayline Group, was elected to serve a three-year term as a BIFMA Director. Mr. Simons fills an open seat on the Board. Bob Bockheim, Nucraft, was also elected to a three-year term as a Director. Mr. Bockheim replaces Tom Sehrer, Magna Design, whose term as a Director has expired. During the course of the last year, three BIFMA Directors stepped down from the Board to focus on other endeavors. Robert Krasa, Haworth, will fill the seat vacated by the retiring Jerry Johanneson. Frank Merlotti, Jr., Steelcase, will fill the seat vacated by Jim Mitchell. And Ram Ramkumar, Inscape, will fill the remainder of the term of Mo Bhayana. BIFMA would like to thank Tom Sehrer, Magna Design, Jerry Johanneson, Haworth, Jim Mitchell, Steelcase, and Mo Bhayana, Inscape, for their years of dedication and support to the BIFMA organization. Established in 1973, BIFMA International is a not-for-profit trade association of furniture manufacturers and suppliers addressing issues of common concern. BIFMA's mission is to serve the North American office and business furniture manufacturing industry as an information resource and industry advocate, and by offering industry-wide trade development opportunities.
