Linwood Furniture announced that it will show in High Point Market for the first time at the Showrooms on English.
The company said it will debut three collections exclusive to their private line of case goods and accessories inspired by and deeply rooted in the grand heritage of American cabinetmaking.
Featuring craftsmanship and styles that transcend time, Linwood will show three collections locally designed and manufactured by Davidson County residents in Lexington, North Carolina – American Classics, Hart Square Collection and The Villages of Gulf Breeze.
With a completely vertically integrated production facility that allows for unprecedented product quality and with a commitment to promoting sustainable timber practices, Linwood uses only locally selected American hardwoods sourced within a 100-mile radius of Lexington by Kepley-Frank Hardwoods.
HART SQUARE COLLECTION:
solid pecan and selected North American hardwoods
Lexington artist Bob Timberlake has met some extraordinary people in his career. Timberlake has said, “Without a doubt, Dr. Robert Hart is one of the most interesting.” Timberlake’s good friend has a very unusual hobby. He collects and restores log buildings.
Completely furnished with antique originals from the period, Dr. Hart’s collection of over 70 log buildings dating between 1782 and 1873—the largest collection in the United States—is located on over 200 acres of land in Catawba County, just outside of Hickory, North Carolina.
Inspired by the buildings and furniture that Dr. Hart has assembled, Linwood’s Hart Square Collection is an eclectic collection of unique, one-of-a-kind home furnishings. Some pieces are exact reproductions of furniture found there, while others are adaptations of antique originals, scaled and designed for contemporary use.
While eclectic in styling, the collection was assembled so that bedroom, dining room and occasional furniture can be pulled together and merchandised as smaller groups. The variety of cases, beds, mirrors and accent pieces easily mix in a number of settings throughout the home.
THE VILLAGES AT GULF BREEZE:
North American hardwoods with painted finishes
Linwood meets the color horizon with “The Villages at Gulf Breeze” bedroom collection. This casual bedroom is offered in seven finish choices: Antique Forged Black, Merlot, Sea Foam, Sea Salt,
Sea Mist, Antique Brickyard Red and Sun Deck Yellow.
Designed and scaled for second homes and condominiums, it’s equally at home at the coast or the mountains—and everywhere in between. The group features two beds offered in twin, queen and king sizes, three mirrors, a variety of cases and a desk. The two-piece door chest is offered with several deck options for clothing and beverage storage.
Design features include wide louvers in door, mirror and bed panels; drawers framed in stepped moldings and trimmed with wood knobs; detailed crown moldings with dentil detail; gently rounded horizontal waist moldings and tops; and square tapered feet.
AMERICAN CLASSICS:
solid cherry
Mixing arts and crafts influences with classic design, the casual elegance of American Classics was crafted to be admired and designed with everyday use in mind.
Released early this year and showing for the first time in High Point, American Classics is handcrafted in solid cherry and influenced by traditional design.
Each bedroom and dining room piece reflects a multi-step finish process that includes a final method of hand rubbing and waxing that achieves a rich chestnut brown finish with warm honey undertones.
