Larry Beasley, Vice President of Marketing for Canadian-based furniture manufacturer Shermag, has departed the company after 12 years. His primary responsibilities included product development and merchandising. During his tenure, the company more than doubled its sales to $240 million Canadian. Beasley confirmed he has exited the company and plans to re-enter the industry in the spring following a short sabbatical. His departure follows that of former Shermag President Jeff Casselman, who left the company in late November after a change of leadership within the company’s board of directors. Beasley, a twenty five year industry veteran, was the furniture buyer at the Woodward and Lothrop department store chain based in Washington, D.C. prior to joining Shermag in 1995.
