American Furniture Hall of Fame To Present Diamond Lapel Pins At High Point Induction Ceremony

The American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc. (AFHF) announced that it will celebrate its 20th anniversary induction banquet by unveiling new custom-designed lapel pins to honor its inducted members and Hall of Fame nominees. The new member pin which can be viewed on the www.furniturehalloffame.com website (programs page). It is gold with black enamel detail and a six-point diamond at the base of the American Furniture Hall of Fame flame – the symbol of the enduring energy required by members to achieve their position of innovation, accomplishment and honor within the home furnishings industry. The new nominee pin features the flame symbol surrounded by the black enamel detail. The back of both pins will be inscribed with the American Furniture Hall of Fame logo and the members’ year of induction. “Over the past few years, we’ve taken several important steps to make the Hall of Fame Foundation more relevant and accessible, including the development of a new logo, conversion of oral interviews to a digital format and the publication of the transcripts of these interviews with our industry’s leaders,” says Donald Belgrad, president of the American Furniture Hall of Fame. “The lapel pins reflect our new branding and our continuing commitment to recognizing the innovation and dedication of members of the Hall of Fame to our industry.” According to Belgrad, the new pin design was inspired by the Purple Heart lapel pins. They will be unveiled and presented at the American Furniture Hall of Fame 20th anniversary banquet which will be held on October 21 at International Home Furnishings Center Ballroom. “Our new member and nominee pins are a fitting tribute to the accomplishments of the individuals who receive them,” says Belgrad. “They underscore the enduring values of our organization in an elegant and meaningful way.” The American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc. is an international, industry-wide organization founded to honor those individuals whose outstanding achievements have contributed to the continued growth and development of the U.S. furniture industry, as well as to research, collect and preserve our cultural, economic and artistic history.
