World Market Center Las Vegas Names Tradeshow Veteran Phillip McKay Senior VP

Robert Maricich, President and Chief Executive Officer of World Market Center Las Vegas, today announced that tradeshow industry veteran Phillip McKay has joined the company as Senior Vice President.
In this newly created position, McKay will be responsible for leasing to gift, lighting, rugs and decorative accessories segments as well as launching new product line categories. Additionally McKay will oversee the development of existing and future trade show events at World Market Center.
“Phil’s extensive background in the tradeshow industry is a great resource for World Market Center Las Vegas as we position ourselves for the future,” said Robert Maricich, President and Chief Executive Officer. “He is highly regarded in the industry and has the skills and knowledge base necessary to ensure World Market Center is the most effective and efficient platform for the industry.”
Prior to joining World Market Center Las Vegas, McKay served as President and Chief Executive Officer of PPM Media, a tradeshow production company he founded. He also has a proven track record as a successful senior level executive with a number of other leading tradeshow companies, including Gartner Vision Events, Penton Media and Key3Media. Tradeshow Week Magazine awarded McKay with a Lifetime Achievement Award from for his outstanding contributions to the global events industry.
McKay currently serves on the board of the Society of Independent Show Organizers, is actively involved in many committees of the International Association for Exhibition Management and was a former member of the Center for Exhibition Industry Research Strategic Planning Board. He also is on the Editorial Advisory Board for Tradeshow Executive Magazine.
