Warren Kimble will be featured as guest speaker of IFDA's October Seminar on Saturday, October 16, 1999. The seminar will be entitled "At Home with Warren Kimble.' As "America's Best Known Living Folk Artist," Warren Kimble draws on more than 40 years of experience as a fine artist, teacher, collector, craftsman, and antique dealer to create a casual but sophisticated style of American folk art. Warren Kimble is best known for his paintings of highly stylized animals and rural Vermont scenes using antique architectural wood as his canvas. His subjects and whimsical style evoke the spirit of the tranquil Vermont countryside. Warren Kimble is also the design leader for the new Folk Art trend in Home Furnishings. With some thirty licensees, including a major collection with Lexington Furniture, Warren Kimble represents the best of this traditional and accessible approach to home furnishings, which has also taken the market by storm. The seminar and luncheon are scheduled for Saturday, October 16, 1999, 12:00 p.m. IHFC® Green Wing, 11th Floor, International Ballroom B.
