Samuelson Furniture announced that it recently made a substantial donation of furniture to the Villas in the Fairy Tale Forest expansion project of GIVE KIDS THE WORLD Village. As the premier manufacturer of quality commercial contract furnishings, Samuelson’s support and commitment of this project will help make a difference in the lives of special children. Established in 1986, GIVE KIDS THE WORLD (GKTW) is a non-profit organization that aims to fulfill the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses and their families by providing memorable, cost-free visits to Central Florida theme park attractions. The Village gives children and their families an opportunity to escape doctor visits and hospital stays for a week of laughter and hope. Located on a 70-acre resort, the organization recently expanded its accommodations for those families by adding 42 whimsical new villas. “We’re delighted to be involved with this project and trust that our bedroom suites will help to create welcoming and magical home environments for thousands of children every year," stated Lawrence Chalfin, president of Samuelson Furniture. “We are honored to support GKTW and the families they serve. As a family owned and operated business, Samuelson Furniture is proud to do what we can to make the experiences of these children as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.” Each year the number of children with life-threatening illnesses who wish to experience the magic of the Village continues to grow - now serving over 90,000 families internationally. No matter what language they speak, families from around the world find joy, hope and inspiration at the Village. Construction is nearly complete on the second phase of the expansion project, which is themed around “Castles & Cottages,” and is expected to welcome visiting families in early 2009. “We are so appreciative of Samuelson Furniture and their support and commitment in helping us make a difference in the lives of the special children we serve,” said Pamela Landwirth, president of GKTW. “Because of their generosity, we will be able to create magical memories in a beautiful home-away-from-home environment for thousands of children.” Samuelson Furniture is renowned for beautifully crafted furnishings built to last a lifetime. The company can trace its roots to a rather humble beginning in Paterson, NJ and a father-and-son team with inspired dreams. Now in its fourth generation, Samuelson offers quality furniture to the professional interior design community. No matter the style, each and every piece has an inspired design and heirloom quality - a trademark of the Samuelson Furniture brand. The Samuelson team assures the highest quality service and a commitment to provide superior quality furniture sure to be celebrated by the users.
