WithIt Hosts Educational and Networking Event at Las Vegas Furniture Market

The Western regional chapter of WithIt (Women in the Home Furnishings Industry Today), along with World Market Center, announced that they will host an educational and professional networking event featuring an expert panel of industry leaders to speak about trends in the predicted growth categories of home entertainment and home office furnishings. The event is scheduled for Monday, February 9th, 3:30 – 4:30 pm, and is located in the World Forum Conference Room, Building B, 16th floor. Moderated by Jena Hall, vp merchandising and occasional, Aspenhome, panelists for the trend presentation include Steve Kidera, communications coordinator for the Consumer Electronics Association; Ken Levi, award-winning home office/home entertainment designer, Aspenhome Furniture; and Brett Hiatt, electronics buyer for Berkshire Hathaway-owned RC Willey, a Top 100, full-line retailer of home furniture, electronics, appliances, mattresses and flooring, with stores in Utah, Idaho, Nevada and California. “This event will be a wonderful opportunity for WithIt members and non-members to identify new opportunities in two of the strongest home furnishings categories,” said Donna Favia, director of retail services at Aspenhome Furniture and Western regional chair of WithIt. “It’s also a great chance for everyone in the industry to catch up at the show and network.” The event is free to all market attendees and seating is available on a first-come basis. Light refreshments will be served. WithIt is the premiere international organization dedicated to the support and development of female professionals in the home industries.
